The jury convicted DeathRay on the LESSER counts of Negligent Homicide...not Manslaughter.

With Negligent Homicide it seems he could get 12 years in the "can"....or PROBATION.

This isn't over just yet until sentencing.

One of the articles Corboy quoted on the previous page mentioned Shawna Bowens' book, Never Again. Just for the record, the book was endorsed by Secret star, Joe Vitale, who appreciated that it "doesn't point fingers or pass judgments". Nuff said.

Again from LaVaughn, a round-up on the happenings as various people plead for support letters for DeathRay in the hope of providing some semblence of mitigation before the the sentencing.

As a commenter points out, support letters of mitigation being read out rather sets a double standard since evidence of the many injuries in previous events was deemed too prejudicial to be heard in this trial.

Thank you for so many informative posts on James Arthur Ray and the trial. I've followed for the past four months, and knew of the problems with Ray four years ago.

CNN Live does have the trial, aggravated circumstances, on their schedule at this time. It's scheduled under future programming.

Connie Joy has stated on her Facebook page that all audio/visual equipment has been removed from the courtroom. I sent an email inquiry to CNN and received a reply from Natalie who said CNN does plan to broadcast the trial.
