In other words, the "split": the smooth and knowledgeable public speaker on-stage, and the same old person off-stage.

It's a mysterious business whereby, on the one hand enlightenment is presented as something highly advanced and developed, yet on the other hand it has no effect on the personality, nor (unless you turn it into a business) on the person's effectiveness at living life.

Bernadette Roberts was asked if her no-self journey had changed her personality. She confirmed that it had not:
