Me and my girlfriend got involved with them in 2017 for a hot minute. We did a weekend course and afterward they harrased us non stop for almost a year to come and do a $30k coaching program.

They had this really intense sales techniques and they would pretty much bully people into applying for a credit cards to pay for the $30k coaching programs.

There are many people in the SF bay area with upwards of 150k credit card debt after being sucked into the one taste cult.

They would focus on getting geeky introverted tech bros into their programs because they had trouble meeting women and had a lot of spare cash. They would give the course's to sexy young women for free to use them as bait to attract the lonely tech bros.

There's a netflix doco called Sex Inc that goes into it.

For about two years a bunch of sensitive new age dorky seeming guys were all over dating apps in the Bay Area trying to invite women to their “sensual touch parties” at random houses, it was soooo weird and gross! I used to work across the street from the OneTaste HQ and they had a steady stream of tech bros going in with incongruously gorgeous women, all behind heavy red velvet curtains.

Haha, so THAT’s what was happening there. In 2006-07, my then-girlfriend and I were walking near our place in SoMA and walked into a “yoga and meditation studio” with that name and went in to ask about the classes from the two staff in front (one woman and one man).

They split us up so the woman talked to me and the man talked to my GF and they were selling us hard on joining them for one of their meditation sessions but there was something ravenous in their looks that weirded me out and I was like “let’s get out of here.”
