Haredim Move Out or is that In?

There was a newspaper article in Israel, some years ago, showing a picture of a haredi. As he just moved into a new, mostly secular neighborhood the first thing that he started doing was arguing with his new neighbors over religion.
Some of these people want to shove their beliefs down everyone else's throats. It's unfortunate.
What's also unfortunate, to my way of thinking, is that people who reject orthodoxy in Israel, also reject all other non-orthodox traditional paths.
I feel there are some positive benefits in learning about the Torah, etc, but in Israel it's all polarized between secular (chilonim) or orthodox.
