of course the local centers put on a good show, and give out "free" food, and people are happy and nice.
That is cult-group 101.
The Love-Bomb doesn't have to be hugs, it can just be friendly acceptance.

Then as they lure people in, before you know it, you are working in the center 18 hrs a day for no pay, cooking meals to recruit more people.
And working for no pay, to raise money to buy the "free" food.

All the money in these groups goes right to the top.
The local centers are about recruitment.

And the "go see for yourself" is classic cult recruitment.
The worst thing people can do is "go and see for yourself" when it comes to cults, as they are experts in recruiting and conversion.

As a matter of fact, what you said about the LA center makes it worse, as they appear to know how to recruit very well.

Just out of curiosity, is her finances based on fact or speculation? People working for centers 18hr's a day? There are no current centers that i am aware of that have people working 18hr's per day beyond her SMTV venture, which is not profit driven, nor is there any outside marketing.

Centers do not accept donations beyond keeping them sustainable, property taxes current etc. Now, yes, she does sell high priced items to fund her "projects" but not fund raising or charity handouts. I'm not so sure what's her motive with recruiting if there is no profit derived from it beyond the hope that they would buy a $300 painting or a $25 picture some time in the future? In fact, she has not been in the states for the past few years, nor any "initiations" done in the past year that I know of. The only way to be part of the group is through initiation. In the past, initiations, even at big centers had at most 20 people being initiated at a time and they were only being done every 12 months, hardly a massive recruiting operation.

Anyhow, is there any hard data or fact? I would love to see it. Not a defender, but one who likes facts before I call judgement. I do see alot of anecdotal statements as well as a few articles by minor papers, but is there anything solid or earth breaking beyond her snafu in Florida, some guy(my bro) taking about marrage, and her push to donate to Clinton? I would like to know myself, for my sanity. For what seems to be a massive group and for someone who seems to be so public there has got to be more out there. Thanks.

The facts about her have been reported by the press.

Note this article [www.culteducation.com]

Seems more like a con woman than a legitimate religious leader.

Hi dynamic,

You've been provided with lots of info from the moderator(s) & posters here yet you are the one in a better position to judge for yourself whether you wish to continue in this cult or not. Cults by their very nature are extremely secretive & manipulative. So they guard their real intentions & ulterior activities tightly even from the disciples(customers) like yourself.

But once in a while they slip up & have to cover up their lies, escape abroad and/or hide in another country as is the case for ching hai. You mention "she has not been in the States for the past few years".

Well if you are her disciple you will know she took off to Europe conveniently just after her engineered environmental disaster that was the Biscayne National Park just as the authorities were catching up with her. She laid low for a while and appeared again in 2005 claiming to a few of her "trusted" disciples that she had been away on some "important spiritual journey". At this special meeting she reinvented herself & some of the teachings to further entangle the followers in her cult. All this can easily be got on the internet if you are truly searching for info on this cult. But i suppose you already know most of this stuff & maybe more.

(1) Anyway here's one example of "any hard data or fact" you can find on the net:

The so-called supreme all powerful ching hai or her cult have not paid property tax on the following properties since 2003, around the time of that environmental episode mentioned earlier, up till today.

(2) Another "hard fact". Disciples were told to make up 5-star reviews on Amazon to sell ching hai's books.
Now ask yourself why a so-called supreme master would need to resort to deception to sell her books?

I must say you possess a certain openmindedness in contrast to many ching hai followers who swallow 100% everything ching hai says. This will hold you in good stead as you seek answers to your questions but ultimately as mentioned before, you are the best person to know what you are involved in.

You must realise more stuff about this cult will come out as time goes on but as a disciple you are in a much better position not to even need to wait for these as you have more indepth insider info right in front of you that non-members don't have, and you only need to cast a more objective look at what you had been taught from the time you joined your group up till now.

It will be interesting to hear from you whatever you find out if you care to share these on here.

Thanks.

Koldin

Mmhmm, I've actually been meaning to post on this forum for quite awhile now.

One of my good buddies back in high school use to be heavy involved in Ching Hai's satellite television program, he worked as a video editor for three years up until graduation. I found it quite unusually because normally you'd think 16-year-olds shouldn't be "working" over 10+ hours a day. He never enjoyed it , but I knew he was under tremendous pressure from his family and his peers to continue working. And let me go ahead and tell you guys, I remember every conversation I had with him about what he was doing. This is by far one of the most disreputable and unethical organizations I have ever come to understand, it's certainly surprising that these people aren't behind bars for the abominations they've caused and imposed.

I've done my own fair share of research on Ching Hai as has many other people on this forum. I don't know about you guys, but most of the antics that go on in her organization constitute as human trafficking, forced labor, and human rights violations. I'm completely astounded by the fact that there are people who've been completely sold to her "promise of answers."

I've heard the arguments of her intentions, viewpoints, significance, etc. The fact of the matter is, for those of us who are familiar with contemporary cult education and inculcation, her psychological profile fits nearly identical to what we identify as a "cult icon." I've read her books and articles about vegetarianism, seen her videos/lectures on Quan-Yin, and listened to her recording on spiritualism; it's a complete educational fraud filled with an astonishing number of spiritual contradictions and absentminded logic. She makes several critiques on society's vices, but what I find most amusing is if she ever even considered herself to be one of the main reasons for the "big problem."

Heh, I wish I had more time to write, but there's just way too much to cover in one day. Forgive me for any poor spelling, grammar errors, etc. Oh, and let me go ahead and say one last thing; Ching Hai is playing a very dangerous game, someone with as much command and responsibility as her, means every decision and choice she makes can lead to drastic unpredictable consequences especially when she's been imparted with so many human lives. Not sure, but is there something particularly wrong with this "picture?"

Well done.

A cult is very different from simply a new spiritual group, new religious movement or sect that branch out from its root.

Meanwhile the propaganda branch of this ching hai, Supreme Master Television(smtv) continues to support dangerous dietary practices as this interview with the cult leader Jasmuheen(Ellen Greve) a fake breatharian shows. A breatharian is one who believes or claims food and possibly water are not necessary for living, and that humans can be sustained solely by prana (the vital life force in Hinduism), or according to some, by the energy in sunlight.
youtube smtv jasmuheen. Please no need to watch the whole dull thing:)

Jasmuheen exposed as a fraud on Australian 60 minutes Report. Check out the size of her kitchen ha ha, but seriously, notice how cold & uncaring she responds to questions about the young people who had lost their lives due to following her gospel. Also watch the silly excuses pour out as she fails a simple experiment to proove her so-called abilities.

It seems this is a case of birds of the same feather flocking together but seriously ching hai followers are now so brainwashed that they'll fall for any wacky old claptrap their cult leader or her media machine & indeed any other cult personality/group spews out. Any visiting initiates or followers of ching hai(to this forum) or their friends & families, please take heed & do some more research on ching hai & the cult as you are all the victims in this nightmare.
Please use the excellent resources here to get yourself & your loved ones out of this very damaging cult.

But Fixxwire has hit the nail on the head with "Ching Hai is playing a very dangerous game, someone with as much command and responsibility as her, means every decision and choice she makes can lead to drastic unpredictable consequences especially when she's been imparted with so many human lives".

Thank you.
Koldin.

These "Breatharian" scammers and liars are truly horrible. Scam-artists, and con-artists.
And some of them are making a lot of money.

They know its a scam, they sneak their food. There was one busted sneaking into a burger joint.

But there are some disturbed people who start to try to follow their fraud.
Some of them have even starved their children.
There are people with eating disorders, who get lured into this insanity.

To be fair,

you don't need to be a Breatharian in order to follow Ching Hai

But of course my position is always dislike Ching Hai based on what she did.

NEED HELP ALL OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS IN CHING HAI'S CULT

Hi all I am new to this site. The reason I search the internet for a site like this is that all of my immediate family member have are devoted disciples of the Ching Hai cult. I’m really confused now, not sure what to need do. Kind of need some advice guys. I tell you the whole story.

My self and my whole a family were non religious. Both my self and my sister were born atheists. My family were first aware of ching hai 10 years ago from my uncle which had joined this group. My uncle told my mother This is not a religion this is simple a meditation technique and convinced her into going to their meditation session in Brisbane Australia. With in 12 months of going to this first meditation session my whole family except for me had joined this group. My mother Father and sister. They constantly tell me that this is not a religion it is only a meditation method. They did try to convince me to join the meditation group. They said it was going it would help me with my problem of insomnia. I try abit of it even when to their session did not like it I thought Ching Hai wanted to be a model more than a meditation master. But anyway I told my family I was not interested in joining her (I’m not a spiritual person at all) my family respected my choice on that.

Anyway 10 years have past since my family was introduced to Ching Hai. My mother Father and sister are now devoted followers of ching hai, fanatic vegetarians and have supreammaster television on all fringing day..

Recently I have seen changes in my sister view on life. She was so worried about the world turning to an end and her husband had not joined the Ching hai movement and become vegetarians. So she ask some of ching hia advisers about weather her husband would be spared when the world come to an end and they told her “one does not have to join the ching hai movment to be spared one must only do good deeds” anyway I have become more and more anti ching hai after my family put supream master television on all day. I see this stupid Fxxxing Bxxx dancing and singing in the music videos look like she wants to be Madonna more than Buddha. I really think my sister to get that worried about the end of the world if everybody does not turn vegetarian is so out of character even if the response she gets was reasonable it was still out of character to change her views on life so much like this.

Anyway a few more months have pasted ching Hai has now opened a new restaurant in Bangkok called loving hut. Oh sorry I forget to mention earlier my family joined ching hai in Brisbane Australia then them moved to Bangkok Thailand 6 years after join ching hai and joined ching hai’s Bangkok branch..

Ok back to the point now my mother father and sister donated money for loving hut but I do not know the exact amount though my father says it is not a lot. My father is not helping in the restaurant by my mother and sister are. I have seen large personality changes in my sister now she works very hard toward this place and she is usually not an aggressive person but now I see her screaming really stressed out about loving hut’s operation. My mother comes home at mid night every night working at loving hut working for a place that does not even belong to them.

I relies something is wrong I do not think ching hai’s movment is a meditation method I think she is a cult leader. I search the internet and come up with this site.

I have read all articles I can find about her. I have talked to my family about this. I printed out articles about ching Hai my family refuses to read them saying member who behave badly and get expelled from the movement and try to take revenge by making up lies. I read about Takar Sing his relation to ching hai and also is embezzlement and his sadistic sex scandals. I told my mother about this she was a little surprised but not out of the world surprised . I printed out so many articles and my family refuse to read them only supream master tv for them.

I talked to my father about ching hai he does not want to talk about it he likes to change the topic and says religion is not important and start talking about investments although I really do feel my father is simple following my mother he is still not a religious person even after following ching hai. Although he is still reluctant to read anything which I have printed out from this site.

I would really like some advice from you guys what should I do in this situation should I leave my family to choose their religion with out bothering them.. When every I say anything about the articles I read hear to them They say ching hai is not dangerous ching hai has never ripped me off. You don’t need to donate to ching hai if you don’t want..

Or should I try my best to pull my family out of this cult before it does some real damage to my family. I don’t need to let us become victims first.

Or even should I spend my spare time being an activist to try to stop this evil movement and if so how .

Any advice to my current situation would be greatly appreciated.
