An excellent video I got from BiscayneNationalPark's YouTube playlist : [www.youtube.com] It can perfectly apply to Ching Hai's cult.

The transcription : [dont-tell-cult-leader.blogspot.com] (the videoclip in that page is low-quality)

By the way enjoy the background picture of the channel, it won't last long until smtv pass by (Hello smtv staff by the way, I hope at least it made you smile)

(sorry for people who have a small screen resolution, you can still use the zoom function of the browser)

LOL! That channel background with the funny description is just genius.

Its highly likely with the mix of the serious "How To Become a Cult Leader" video showing against the background of loopy caricature graphics/slogans of the Sodsdirectcontact.con, will raise more than a smile in some sitting-on-the-fence-disciples presently reading these posts.

Yes smile as you see what you are involved in mirrored in a jovial way, but hopefully you would have learnt something more serious of the cult you are involved in & taken a step in the right direction thereof.

Ching hai has all to gain by your continued subservience to her whims.

This is her life. What about YOURS?

Can someone explain what is a "Gift certificate" ? (on Celestial Shop website)

(it really costs $100)

It looks like a way to donate money...

Yes, these are vouchers the disciples buy to give to friends & family as gifts on maybe special occasions(birthdays etc) instead of buying them say a normal present(perfume, shoes, cellphone etc). The recipient then uses the certificate to buy products from the celestial shop to the value of what's on it($25,$100 etc).

These vouchers can only be used to buy products at the celestial shop, & nowhere else in the universe:)

This is one way Ka Ching Hai gets more money off of her disciples(yes they DO pay money for the certificates) + another way for these friends & family to be introduced into the cult as the products come with jazzy slogans, symbols & other cult mumbo jumbo to dazzle the unsuspecting mind.

The "joke of the day" (I love Ching Hai's humour)

Copyright infringements ? (2)
Short sequences from HOME (a film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand - 2009) are very often used by SMTV to seduce the disciples, to convince them about the hurry to save our beautiful planet, and of course to conceal Ching Hai's evil activities, to generate money ("non demanded" donations to save the world). Anyway, with or without money behind, I doubt that Supreme Master TV got the copyright for these materials. More over, SMTV don't even give any credit for the sequences used, since they always "forget" to make begining or end credits, for any of their programs, which are full of copyright infringements (unbelievable isn't it, dear Matthew?). The fact that HOME is aviable for free does absolutely not mean that SMTV have the right to use sequences of it in their own cultish programs, without asking and without mentioning the credits (it's like quoting without giving the source). The little sign "CC" at the bottom of HOME video on YouTube doesn't mean "Creative Common", but "Closed Captions" (and even CC licence would not exempt SMTV from mentioning the credits). And anyway (again) I doubt that Europa Corp would be glad to know that the movie is used by an abusive cult as a tool to misconduct vulnerable people.

Here is an exemple with the program "How To Get The Most Blessings"

How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 00:41 = HOME at timecode 01:21:53

Other exemples in the same video :
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 00:36 = HOME at timecode 01:04:22
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 00:38 = HOME at timecode 01:23:43
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 05:48 = HOME at timecode 01:24:49
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 05:49 = HOME at timecode 00:31:51
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 12:15 = HOME at timecode 00:14:05
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 14:05 = HOME at timecode 00:07:05
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 14:06 = HOME at timecode 00:07:42
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 14:10 = HOME at timecode 01:03:13
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 14:32 = HOME at timecode 00:43:47
How To Get The Most Blessings at timecode 22:25 = HOME at timecode 00:11:43

(Timecodes may be slightly different on YouTube).

Hello there,

reading all this material has been very informative.

i was wondering if members can tell me waht happens if you decide or want to leave, do they keep chasing you or calling you to attend for meditation etc? If you are a initiate and stop going to meditate do they start to call you all the time? I think vegan is a good idea but not sure about the rest.

Also it says no donation so if they ask you to buy htings but you say you have no money, wont they accept that fact?

Also, do they do any prayers of prostrations like buddhism eg heart sutra?

Thanks

Over the years more people dropped out the group than the number of newcomers. It’s normal for followers to leave. The organization don’t chase them. So if you’re a follower of Ching Hai, feel free to leave.

just sharing...

Going door to door is a method some new religions have utilized as well, though it is
a much slower means to spread the meme than is available. A more powerful way to
reach a larger audience is through mass media outlets. New religions advertise now
on the radio, on the television and, with an even greater result due to a worldwide
audience, on the internet. Utilizing as many languages as possible here, especially in
the literature, certainly contributes to greater memetic distribution.

Along this line, it is also important to mention the promotion of religious memes
into new cultural environments. To the degree that a religion can introduce novel
memes into a culture it is more likely to be successful, provided that such memeplex-
es fulfill an already pre-existing need in the society (tapping into the market) or, more
interestingly, "create" or "invent" such a desire among the population. A classic
example of this would be the meditation group started by Ching Hai, a Taiwanese
woman who was a one-time follower of Thakar Singh. Although shabd yoga thought
had become popular in India and in many Western nations (primarily due to books
and world tours made by the respective gurus and the increasing desire for Eastern
thought--due to travel openings and improved worldwide communications), it had
relatively few successes in China. Why? The answer is amazingly simple. There are
practically no Radhasoami or shabd yoga texts in Chinese or Taiwanese. Thus, the
very idea of the meditation practice was unheard of amongst a huge population.
Enter Ching Hai who not only speaks Taiwanese but widely publishes her work on
shabd yoga in Chinese. The result is not surprising: thousands of Chinese speaking
people are attracted to her as their guru.

It is natural to want to connect with one's countrymen/women.

However, if anyone is here who wishes to preserve privacy, never disclose area of residence until absolutely certain that your privacy will be preserved in any ensuing discussions, whether on the PM board or elsewhere.
