The propaganda wing of the Supreme Master Ching Hai cult is going global with free-to-air satellite channel broadcasting. This seems to be a new angle, its basically a private TV channel, and they are advertising heavily and targeting female viewers.
One wonders how many other cults are going to jump on the free-to-air satellite-wagon?

These days instead of students of this group concentrating on their spiritual activities like they did in the early days, they now devote most of their time on alarmist propaganda. You can see this clearly(youtube) when you compare their videos from yesteryear(http://tinyurl.com/5p6or4) to what they've been filming recently(http://tinyurl.com/6jgko6).

On youtube also one notices ching hai often communicating with her students & the public via internet link & not mostly face to face as it used to be some years ago. One wonders what she's hiding from these days. She used to travel a lot around the world spreading her brand.

In many of their centres worldwide they've cut the weekly meditation meeting times by a huge percentage to make way for making shows for their tv channel which has resulted in many members overworking themselves to the point of lack of sleep, illness & despair.

Some countrys' representatives actually complained to ching hai & some left because of this. Following these complaints & developments ching hai most likely fearing a backlash, (in the middle of this year) asked for all representatives worldwide to be replaced while admitting in writing the fact that they needed to rest. She also thanked them for all their hard work.


But the high pressured sweatshop continues till the next batch of "volunteers" burn out. Ching hai pushes her students to do more to save the world from a disaster that she says will happen in 2012 if the world does not do what she says. Of course her students swallow her every word & do her bidding to work even harder on this wild goose chase.

For members of this group it seems many will have to wait till 2012 before they realise they've been scammed & then have the courage to really start living free from the bindings of ching hai.

my ex-wife is one such person.
She is super busy on such work.

Ching Hai strikes one as being extremely neurotic, paranoid and vain, she might have some germ phobia, and prefers to hide behind a internet camera to avoid contamination from the rabble.
Most of these "reclusive Guru's" are reclusive because they despise people.

Indeed ching hai was also on the bandwagon of the year2k scare of which her students were made to believe in some coming catastrophe. They also believe she helped to avert some kind of disaster at that time as they held a special new year retreat in Thailand to usher in the year 2000.
A round of applause rang around the venue as ching hai exclaimed, "We made it!".

You are quite right on the behaviour of this guru as as recently as this year in France she has been observed suddenly getting into fits of anger, shouting rudely at anyone who asks her a difficult question or someone who suggests something better than hers.

Last year in Austria she suddenly jumped up from her chair & started ranting loudly asking everyone to leave the hall for no immediate apparent reason & frightening the living daylights out of those present.

This sort of thing has happened before many times, but it seems to be getting worse.

She has had this neurotic disposition long before she called herself a supreme master as those who remember her from when she was a student of Thakar Singh can remember. [tinyurl.com]. (Sorry this film is in German, but the description speaks for itself).

She definitely has no friends, she has only people who worship her out of fear.

Ching hai gets away with shouting at her followers by telling them she does this out of love & that this will help to check their egos.

She says she may look at someone & say sweet nothings to them & still think of something else or several things at the same time. But when she's shouting at someone all her energy is directed at that one person so the loving force coming through is even stronger as she's not thinking of anything else in the universe.

To her followers she's very charismatic & watching some of her tapes, she does have a way with words & seems to read the people around her.

This is how she gets away with all that paranoid behaviour & everything else.

Many intelligent & clever people have fallen under her spell to their cost.

Lets hope the demise of this cult is at hand as more people speak up & share information.
