KHON2 is very polite. At least, they are calling it an “incident” now as opposed to Chelsea Davies’ “accident”. Is this the type of journalism we have now? The DLNR investigation was obviously botched. It is up to HPD to make things right. Chances are this will be blown out into an international interest, not because of the incident but because of a bigger issue: How it was handled.

If so, we’ll see how far power and politics can influence a case. I hope this wakes up voters to how important their collective voice is in handing power to politicians. That is if the constituents care enough for Hawaii not to become just another Banana Republic under unscrupulous politicians — who they represent and to whom are they loyal to.

Readers might feel relieved that the cult of Chris Butler will finally be held accountable for the death of Sri Shim and the injury of his stepson Trey Albrecht. Not so fast. Chris Butler has a documented record of placing cult members in government offices including the office of the City Prosecutor. In the per-internet era, the local press were not afraid to print the truth about Chris Butler and his cult.

In my opinion, Butler has kept his hidden hand deep in Hawaiian politics for decades. How devious and deep remains to be seen. The Hawaiian media and authorities need to start doing their jobs.

According to sources: "Not only did Rick Reed discuss everything with Chris Butler on this, but had been as far back as 1976! Butler told Rick what to say and do, fed him info about Larry Mehau, told him to run for what office, how to run his campaigns, who should be on his staff, and even who to marry. So I am doubtful that Sri Shim will get justice as long as the Hawaiian media and authorities ignore the elephant in the room.

Doubtful the killer of Sri Shim and maimer of Trey, whomever he is, will feel any remorse.

The cult children are raised to believe that they are superior human beings because they chant, serve Butler, and are vegetarians. They look down on people who eat meat. They disdain fishermen. They think people surfing and hanging out on the beach with their families are lowly "enjoyers". If they don't dedicate their lives and money to Chris Butler, at most they are condescended to as 'pious' but still in need of guidance. Mostly they are considered "karmis" or demons. All of which, they believe, are in need of Butler's image to worship.

For them to accidentally (or on purpose) cut a fisherman's line or chase the diver away is a victory. They value the fish's life more than the fisherman.
