The Google results for Siddhaswarupananda have recently jumped 17 000 for a total of 28 700

The war of Source Watch appears to be won

Chriskcon has been revamped in time for their first appearance day

I'm going to play Siddha Invaders!

It looks as if the cult is learning to live with being oppossed - no guts no glory for them.

Okay, could you spell this out for me? Sorry, but I do not know why that would happen.

Sure, basically a lot of people are spending a lot of time creating spam, using any free forum, blog, bookmarking page, classifieds etc to post links to Science of Identity related sites specificially favouring the keyword Siddhaswarupananda. The obvious motive for doing this, which includes posting on porn sites and advertising Australian School of Meditation in London, is to stop cultofbutler and any other critical material from coming up on Google.

Before cultofbutler/chriskcon there was lucky to be one page of results for Siddhaswarupananda. Either one very dedicated person or most likely a few hundred loyal devotees are deliberately creating this web 'content' and have been for about 12 months. There is no way that it would appear without specific intent and dedication to maintaining/increasing it.

I imagine that Siddha has told his minions that this is the very latest and greatest in devotional service.

There have been discussions here in this forum of other cults manipulating or trying to manipulate Google ratings in a similar fashion. The sourcewatch article which I mentioned has also given into recent threats from SoI and removed their article about Science of Identity Foundation.

Fanaticism at it's finest.

Can anyone tell me how Linda Harvey, aka, Udava, treats the young people that stay at her center, LOTUS GARDEN OF SACRAMENTO? Does she use the Organic Farming and teaching yoga as a front to introduce Chris Butler? How did she become one of his disciples?

I have stayed there on a couple of occasions and found Linda Harvey to be very kind and welcoming. I am not sure what you mean by "as a front". If someone from the Wwoof-ers is working there in the gardens, for example, they are welcome to take in as much of the program as they desire, or none of it..whatever they wish. The programs are there, no-one is told what to do. There are regular yoga classes, and there are regular classes on bhakti yoga. If a person wishes to learn about these things, they are available. It is not as if there is any chance of hiding the fact of "Hare Krishna', since that is the main chant going, and any lecture tapes or videos being played are unmistakably Jagad Guru.

The gardens take a lot of work, but they are not huge. the work experience at Sacramento is real enough. I guess she became one of his disciples by being a devoted student and pleasing her spiritual master. You could always write to her and ask her. :)

Does anyone know if Cara is okay?
My last email from her was 1.25.08.
We emailed frequently...near daily, so am quite worried about her.
Her web sites are down, and she seems to have vanished.
In her last contact with me she spoke of signing up for school,
and sent me some photos of herself.
I've not had another reply to my emails to her since.
I'm in the USA & she's in AUS...impossible to get further info.

"Initiate was revealed to be a fraud? Was that on this board?"

Well I thought this thread was going to fade below the margins here! What a surprise....

To set the record straight--- "Initiate" was kicked off the board for posting under the name "Zelig" after he got kicked off the board as "Initiate" for disagreeing with Rick Ross about an off-topic subject. He also likened Ricky to a witch hunter, which was not nice (he apologized to Rick privately BTW). He was honest about using the name Zelig, but it is against the rules to come back on by posting under another name - so he got the boot. He was never a fraud and his posts still stand and are informative. Here's the thing --- The very same people who got on Zelig's case have posted under many names and got away with it. The split on this forum has been between ex-followers who disagree about several issues. Everyone has had different experiences and perspectives about their time in the cult. There are people who have posted on this board who have made it a real bummer for others--- so we've just left. Lots of false accusations of being "cult apologists", trolls, Siddha minions, etc. Bottom line is that a lot of people went through shit in this cult and were looking for some support here and ended up getting flamed, threatened to reveal identities, and other indignities. We got tired of it all. I even wonder if one of the "anti-cult" people posting here was not old "feeling lower than the straw in the street" delusional Chris himself posing as his own blasphemer!! LOL!!! That woud be SOOOOO Siddha! LOL!

Zelig was no troll and said enough "blasphemy" and incriminating stories to prove he was not a fraud. Any one who was there around the same time knows he was telling the truth. Other people brought forward other stories from other decades. Personally, I think the trolls are the people who attacked Zelig so vociferously. He, as I do, have a right to our opinions. But it became -- like any one who agreed with Z about anything got flamed on this forum and the others. So what. It's just how it went down.

As far as Cara goes, she has a history of putting her blogs/ sites up and down, as well as stopping contact with people. It's her perogative, her right, I suppose. Her web host is robust and always keeps back-ups in case she wants to put her website up again. By the way, he hosts her for FREE , so all those stories about not having money to put up the site were not true. (She had a link/ ad on her website) (http://www.mjzhosting.net/main.php) No doubt SOI people would do everything to pull down her site, and MJZ was not about to cave in to threats! ---It is just as easy to bring it back up, which is likely. Beyond that, who really knows?

What is FOR SURE is that Rick Ross (at this moment) is the only openly critical forum on the subject of Siddha and the whole Krishna business---- and my posting will probably get some snotty replies.

Dear Dassi,

I have once again strayed into a thread of no concern of mine (my mis-spent youth was carelessly wasted in the "wrong" cult) nevertheless, I'd like to say that I have greatly enjoyed reading your postings as well as those of a number of others here, and I hope that this thread will continue....(there are a number of psychological experiences, common to those who have been in the plight you have gone through....the plucky way that you, and others here, still managed to pull through the experience, is warmly encouraging to hear of...)

It is VERY easy to be flippantly dismissive of others on a forum like this, where we are all effectively ultimately answerable to no one other than ourselves (and God). I hope that it proves possible for the more sensitively responsible among the people who post here, to mutually support each other sufficiently that you are then able to create some overall "expectations" about the standards of postings on this thread, and of the "consideration" towards others that should reasonably be expected.

with my best wishes,

the merry meat-eater, Mal.

Abuse takes many forms, and the way people react is an individual thing. When a survivor of abuse finally sees what has been done, the reaction is varied. I think it is impossible to expect that all survivors will react the same way, which might explain why the postings on this thread have been all over the map. It is easy to blame the victims for not being reasonable enough, or wise enough, or considerate enough. *Every* victim deserves the same amount of help and consideration. I too, am concerned about the disappearance of Cara, and I do hope she is doing alright.

It is also too easy to keep the focus on the victims behaviour, instead of looking at the perpetrator of the abuse. Certainly JG must be enjoying the disarray and the lack of an effectively united response to his abuse. It was just pointed out to me that the result of Cultactions' activities has been to increase Science of Identity web presence ten-fold, if not more. I am sure that JG is loving that too.

In the end, what will be will be. I think that people will leave SoI and tell others, and the behaviour of the people within SoI will have a self-limiting effect. This forum has been a great way for stories and experiences to see the light of day, and I hope it continues.

my two cents worth.
