Where did this thing about disciples eating Chris Butler's toenails come from ??

umm, I have a hard time believing this ...

From my experience the group people I have met are quite clean and civilized people and they promote being clean & stuff.

Why would they eat this toenails anyway & why would he allow his toenails to be eaten?

I posted on the new thread that you accidentally started (it happens all the time :D don't worry about it) but that one will disappear pretty quickly I am sure.

Originally quotesman who has left us now posted a list of quotes that included one about eating toenails and other former disciples have confirmed this both on and off list.

As for being civilised and clean the devotee lifestyle does indeed have it's good points in this respect but do you know about drinking the footwater? It is not just followers of Chris Butler that do this and call the dirty water left over from washing his feet maha (great) prashadam. The KC philosophy is heaped in superstitions (as I get into in a moment) and archaic "science" which some would argue is not all that civilised.

Chris Butler was initially a disciple of Sivananda ashram which in simple terms could be referred to as left tantra while Krishna Consciousness as propogated by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami is referred to as right tantra. In simple terms he is of a mystic, impersonalist background, same as I. Since I was initiated when I was 17 by a disciple of Sivananda myself and lived in a commune then I know a little something about it, although no we never did anything like eating toenails.

In the mystic sense (in a vedic sense it is not a bad or atheist thing, there are mystics in the vedas and Lord Caitanya is often referred to as a mystic) everything revolves around energy, prana and one seeks to purify themselves and to utilise this energy towards attaining enlightenment. Witchcraft, psychic powers, ghosts and other supernatural forces - metaphysics - are integral.

In the vedas the feet are considered the dirtiest part of the body, hence the reason that shoes are not worn inside and dead skin cells such as toenails are considered to attract ghosts. If one follows the vedic calendar then they will abide by rules not to cut their hair and nails on certain days. To have someone actually eat your toenails is obviously to be up to dark motives. The beliefs exist that it is possible to curse others and to draw energy from them. I have met people who are dedicated devotees of other gurus who believe that Chris Butler has formidable evil powers. Obviously I dont believe this and anyone should really be encouraged to confront him if they feel the need because I am pretty sure he would strike me down if this was the case.

Footwater appears to be an exception to this due to all the references of being purified by Krishna's feet and the dust from them.

Whether one can believe this or not this is the religion as it stands and Chris Butler would be well aware of this. There is no way that feeding your followers toenails could be considered by anyone lernid in the Vedas to be a good thing, and one must also reason that CB keeps his affiliations with Sivananda Ashram and this philosophy a secret, although there are hints in his tendencies towards Chinese sciences such as Qi Jung (bone breathing) acupunture and herbs, abandoning (what devotees at least accept to be) the pure science of the Vedas, his constant disobedience and contradiction towards ACB and the many lies and hypocrisies.

Despite appearances Chris Butler does not represent Krishna Consciousness.

I am not sure what your level of involvement with SoI was or where in the world but the devotees that I knew were always paranoid and afraid and grovelling towards Chris Butler. I have never seen any reason to doubt that they would not be willing to die for him, infact I feared that this would be the case with the fuss over his bird flu prediction. My best friend who I dearly loved refused to answer me when I asked him if he would kill his son if Chris Butler told him to. He sent a man to attack and threaten and attempt to rape me in retaliation for speaking about the cult. They seemed like really great people when I met them too, but I have seen more than a new person generally ever would due to my circustances when I was there and because I came in knowing that it was a religious thing and believing in Krishna Consciosness. Compared to what goes on eating toenails is absoutely nothing.

Deception should have no place in this world. What goes around, comes around. Words are mightier than the sword. People have suffered much because decievers are allowed to roam to pounce upon unsuspecting preys. Externally, the world may have changed a lot. Instead of the wilds we now have concrete jungles; instead of rugged terrains, we now have paved roads; we have tamed the mighty rivers and flattened the mountain ranges. But our nature pretty much stayed the same inside. Predators still roam around but are now guised as honorable human beings. Just like the wild beasts, they just don't pounce upon any preys that are around. They are more selective, they have a sharp eye for the weak or the wounded, and those not capable of fleeing or fighting back. When the innocent are not made aware of these guised beasts they are as good as dead. Because the predators are just like you and I. They are not obvious, they are more difficult to spot because they are among us. Especially when they are posing as do-gooders. Wolves are no brainer - you stay away, you're safe. But not when they are in sheeps' clothings.

Just for laughs I thought this description of the noni farm has much entertainment value.

Dharma Farms
Noni Farms Hawaii Work Exchange Program
e-mail: Dharma_Farms@hotmail.com
[www.skyboom.com]
Aloha. Noni Farms Hawaii was set up to give open-hearted and open-minded spiritual aspirants the opportunity to learn and practice the timeless, eternal science of Yoga. This is a great opportunity for sincere students to learn the transcendental philosophy that is generally not found in schools and colleges. You can meet some very nice people and develop life-long friendships with many like-minded souls on the path to perfection. Visitors can de-tox and purify their minds and bodies from bad habits in the association of [b:580fa07512]aspiring devotees and pilgrims[/b:580fa07512].

We have a 185-acre property, of which 12 acres is being farmed. The farm is about 23 miles from the Hilo Airport. [b:580fa07512]On the farm there are 4 very rustic, simple cabins and a [/b:580fa07512][b:580fa07512]yellow school bus where visitors are welcome to stay[/b:580fa07512]. [b:580fa07512]There is no electricity, phone, hot showers or electronic gadgets like computers, tv, or radio at these cabins.[/b:580fa07512]

We farm mostly “Noni” (Morinda citrifolia) and other tropical fruit. We make noni juice and sell it all over the world, and we need a lot of help in farming and juice production. This enterprise is in its beginning stages. Our work exchange program requires a minimum of 4–6 hours a day of farming, 7 days a week. Other work is also expected—such as noni juice production, cooking, cleaning, running errands, and other odd jobs. We are looking for serious, hard-working individuals. It is important to see our work as service to God.

We get up at 6:00 a.m. and go to the fields to work until 11:30 or 12 noon. After this group work time, you can work on your own cabin area, do some gardening or farming, anything that helps to make your living situation comfortable and manageable. You can go on hikes, to the beach, or to the steam vents or to Pahoa Village, or Hilo town. You are responsible for making your living situation a clean and comfortable environment.

For those living at Noni Farms we invite you to go to gatherings 4–5 nights a week. This is a gathering where interested individuals can learn about and take part in Yoga and a nice vegetarian meal. On Sunday noon, we sometimes go to Honolii Beach Park for a surf session and swimming. There is a lot of opportunity for [b:580fa07512]fun and hard work[/b:580fa07512] while learning a lot about Hawaii and its plants and people.

The idea is simple living and high thinking. We don’t offer much in material comforts and luxuries; our emphasis is put on inquiring about the absolute truth in association of other like-minded individuals. This is done through hard work, engaging in what is sometimes called karma yoga. Many people have and are practicing this process of purification, and it is well worth any minor austerities.

To help detox and purify our bodies and minds, we have a few basic guidelines for those who wish to stay on our farm. We eat nice delicious healthy vegetarian foods. We are drug free and do not use tobacco and alcohol. We try to live cleanly and purely.

This is a great opportunity for learning a lot about farming, yoga, and life.

Creepy indeed.

No indication that the profits from the business
go into the pockets of the guru
who lives a life of decadent luxury
and a multi-millionaire lifestyle
while they are laboring 6 hours a day
in the hot sun.

A congressional report has revealed that a significant and increasing number of people are having recurrent sexual relationship with animals - particularly dogs and pigs. There is even a specialised, exclusive company in Los Angeles that breeds dogs for the sale to women as sexual partners. The report also features photos of such beastiality, including a woman licking the sex organ of a male pig.

Re-incarnation Explained Page 50 published 1984

What does this have to do with Re-incarnation you may ask (I sure did) well in a nutshell Chris is explaining the "evidence" that people are developing animal consciousness. Comparing people to animals is a constant theme throughout the book.

Is there anyone here who has knowledge of this book being produced or has any idea how it is possible to prove or disprove the existence of such a congressional report. There is no reference for it in the book.

Here is a just plain weird quote from Who Are You? Published 1983 page 48

Quote

For example, there's a television series on cable health network called "Sex Counsellor" or something like that. Everytime I tune into it there's another "sex expert" telling people how they might be able to increase the number of orgasms they have.

Hmm..why would Chris be watching a programme called "Sex Counsellor" or something like that?? How on earth does he imagine that anyone would listen to any information about sex from someone who claims to be celibate?

The celibacy is certainly a fantastic claim for the at least twice married fallen sanyassi. Since the man is so obsessed with referencing sex does he claim that he himself has NEVER done the deed? Ever in his whole life - or is there actually a topic that the man who preaches about beastiality and includes a chapter in his book Who Are You entitled Examine a Corpse actually finds off limits?

I've heard the lectures where he says that you can't censor God and that any words which come from a pure devotee are equally pure - so umm.. when can we expect to see the above quotes added to "his" blogs? Perhaps ASM would like to feature The Root Cause of Beastiality in their next newsletter? :?

The thread has been removed. Apparently the India Divine site is pro Chris Butler. After this link was posted here someone added to the thread that Chris Butler suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder and the follower gave examples of how he subscribes to all the symptoms, but now the thread is gone. Sorry I did not save all of it. Next time I will be quicker, sorry guys.

Message from Kanaka:
I was a long time follower of Siddhaswarupa Prabhu, the truth of the matter is most of the negative stuff being advertised on the internet is true. Much is exaggerated but what would you expect? Siddha is extremely paranoid and secretive. This just adds fuel to the fire of speculation.

It was pointed out on another website by a former follower that Siddha has symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I am another one who can verify that to be true.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder Symptom:

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

(4) requires excessive admiration

(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her

(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Siddhaswarupa has all the above characteristics in full.

(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

He gave himself the name Jagad Guru only months after Srila Prabhupada left the planet and gave his followers the impression that he was now the head of the sampradaya. The numbers of his followers are greatly exaggerated. His disciples call him Prabhupada even in front of Siddhaswarup’s Godbrothers and the disciples of their param gurus Godbrothers. This is known and encouraged by Siddhaswarupa.

(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

He tried to manipulate the WVA for his own agenda attacking Madonna and Xena for minor offenses, coming into conflict with members of the WVA. He imagines one of his followers will be the President of the U.S. one day. That is what the political agenda is about and why his disciples Krishna Katha das and others claim to be Christians and engage in politics. He actually thinks he will have control over the most powerful man in the world. One of his chief disciples told be directly that Srila Prabhupada (A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami) had said perhaps one of Siddhas followers would become President. Srila Prabhupada never said any such thing. It was made up to encourage his followers to get into politics.

(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people:

He has said many times only his wife and adopted kids understands him and loves him. He says they are the only ones he can trust. The rest of his disciples are not trust worthy.

(4) requires excessive admiration:

He has given himself pompous titles like Jagad Guru, Paramahamsa and even Prabhupada, while not allowing others any titles at all. Even his appointed gurus within his organization are not allowed to be called Prabhu or given any titles of respect. When a disciple asked if they could refer to Sudama Vipra das by some title, Siddha blasted the person for asking the question saying Sudama did not need any title. I understand Sudama left the group over a decade ago, dismayed at Siddhas behaviour. Everyone was told Sudama was a great offender and could never come back.

(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

He is treated like the deity with an overly excessive amount of personal servants. It takes all day to cook for him and his wife. The cooks get up at 4 am and do not retire till after 10 pm. I saw this myself. He rarely takes prasadam from the Lords plate. Everything is offered to him directly. The budget for the kitchen was over
$100 dollars a day while I was there. I witnessed him renting a lear jet for personal travel at a cost of over 100,000 dollars. How many times he did that I don’t know. But I was there and helped prepare one of them so I know this is true. If anyone dares to object to anything Siddha wants they are immediately black listed and banned from his close association if not banned altogether. A slight infraction means public humiliation with letters sent worldwide so everyone knows who the offender is. In his mansions he has to have special air machines at a cost of somewhere around 80,000 dollars a piece. Usually there are doubles of these machines in every residence in case one breaks.
He has a full laundry crew that spend the day just washing his and his wifes clothes, there are all kinds of policies governing his personal care. His laundry for one day is equivalent to a week for a normal person.

He gets very angry at the smallest offense, things that are really not even an offense he condemns all his disciples worldwide for. I have seen messages sent world wide condemning all his followers for slight discrepancies that took place in his personal service. Followers around the world are expected to solve the problems of his personal servants and are held accountable and condemned for the slightest infractions.

(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

I have seen families torn apart and devotees lives ruined when they did not follow his wishes or decided they wanted to go somewhere else for spiritual help. Look at what happened in the P.I. with the disciple who wanted to take diksa from B.V. Narayana Maharaja. He also condemned some of his followers who went to Srila Sridhara Deva Goswami Maharaja when he broke sannyasa. For his own means he makes his followers dance like dogs not caring for any backlash or trouble this causes his disciples.

(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

While he was living in mansions in Malibu, New Zealand, Honolulu and other places his followers, even those in his personal service, were dumpster diving to eat. He said point blank it would be ok to offer things gathered from the dumpsters to Krishna and it was ok for his disciples to get food from the garbage if they were that hungry. . While he sat in an ocean front mansion at Diamond Head at a cost of somewhere around 10,000 dollars a month his followers were suffering greatly, living lower than poverty level, and he was still demanding they give a sizeable portion of the little money they had to him so he could use it in Krishnas service. He is fond of humiliating his disciples in front of other people with no empathy or feelings about how that makes them feel.

(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her

His wife was standing under a bar that was put up to hang her extensive wardrobe, a closet was not big enough for her yoga costumes so they were hung in a big garage outside his house, the bar fell on her head and gave her a bump. Siddha declared all his disciples were condemned because now his wife would have to leave the world 10 years early due to the bump on her head and since he would be leaving at the same time it meant his followers had caused him to leave the world 10 years earlier. He even said there was a chance one of his followers set it up to fall on her head, in other words his own followers were trying to harm him. A letter of this incident went worldwide, he said he considered all his followers responsible.

(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

He has f’d off his Godbrothers on numerous occasions. I heard him say all the devotees in ISKCON who stayed in that organization after Srila Prabhupada left were offenders. Even those who had nothing to do with the politics were implicated in offenses. He criticized his Godbrothers for going to people like H.H. B.V. Narayana Maharaja, H.H.B.R.Sridharadeva Goswami. He said they were trying to climb a spiritual ladder by having more than one guru, but that he did not need to do that because he was serving his own guru with everything.

Things that I have seen first hand.

His toenails given out as Maha Prashad. His wife started this. His step son told me personally that his mother said we should eat Siddhas toenails.

Disciples fined up to $10,000 for offenses.

Disciples forced to fast from food water and sleep due to supposed offenses

Out right lying and covert operations in the political arena in Hawaii.

Special treatment for his adopted family.

It is known that Sudama left the group because he did not like the special treatment Siddha started giving his wife and her kids.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg…

Sure if you go to an open gathering it is very nice. But most of those people will never know what goes on close to Siddha. Mahak has a nice sentimental rememberances of the good old days before Siddha got married and started acting completely paranoid, and so do I, but I saw the changes and left the group.

Mahak and others just keep defending but the really do not know what goes on close to Siddha. Such people as Mahak are called ‘floaters’ by Siddha and his close entourage. People who have some respect for Siddha and admire him. They are allowed to come to open gatherings but they are not actually trusted to know the secrets, some of which I just posted.

I recommend to Mahak, he continues to keep a distance if he wants to maintain any fond memories of Siddha. Being the liberal he is, he would never condone Siddhas present behavour.

Siddha is just using him and he does not even know it. But if he didn’t need him he would spit him out like he has many others.

Anyway buyer beware, all gurus are not the same, there are gradations of guru.

Be careful who you follow.
