Carroll talks about the death of Mr. Sri Meheula Shim, an avid and experienced surfer and diver. On January 9, 2016, he was hit by a boat in Kailua Bay and left to die.

People have been complaining about a specific boat, registered to Sai Hansen, speeding in the bay. On January 9, 2016, Mr. Shim and his stepson were run over by that boat. The son was taken to the hospital with deep cuts. It was later reported to the officials at the scene that the boat may have hit another man. But, by then, it was too late for Mr. Shim.

Most accidents have long investigations at the scene, and the people involved are named. In this case, everyone is wondering how thorough and accurate the immediate investigation was, and why nothing is being reported regarding those involved, as is usually done for accidents and deaths. Mr. Hansen has ties to Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard's religious group and its guru. Some of the members live nearby and are active users of Kailua Bay. Both the boaters and the divers were very Hawaii experienced in the ocean and it was reported the day was calm with high visibility. So, how could this happen?


It is interesting the vessel in question was not impounded, and the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is now doing an investigation after the fact. DLNR impounds boats for other infractions, why not this time? Carroll asked the state for a copy of the required accident report, or if a copy could not be provided, who filed the report, and when. He did not receive an answer. People are asking whether a test for drugs or alcohol was done. DLNR does not have the ability to conduct an accurate test, if they even tested at all. The DLNR has not interviewed, or even talked with the family, and are treating it as just another accident. So many questions, and no answers. Something's not right.

Apparently, once again, the Department of Land and Natural Resources is involved in a big problem they cannot handle. Callers participate in the conversation and they, along with many other people Carroll has talked to, express their frustration and concerns about what is going on.

They forgot to mention Mike Gabbard's connection to the DLNR . . .

I am troubled that the DLNR is now claiming Sai Hansen was the boat driver making him the fall guy for Siddha Bellord, who was the driver of the boat according to multiple local confirmations and perfectly matching the Hawaii News Now video report claiming the boat driver is 41.

Siddha Bellord is 41, Sai Hansen is only 36-37. All the testimonies of the locals are definitely referring to Siddha Bellord and his notorious behavior on the water. The locals are not referring to Sai Hansen.

I believe there is a deliberate cover up from the DLNR and the biggest suspect should be Mike Gabbard.

It has been fishy since day one. When HNN’s reporter Chelsea Davies uttered the word “accident”, instead of the incident, and did not follow up, it reeked with suspicion. Who drove the boat? Where was that person after the incident? Where did he or she live, eat sleep and with whom?

Is that person still in Hawaii?

If not in Hawaii, then where? And with whom?

Who else was on board? If you're going to assemble witnesses, you need their names.

Where is the boat?

Who owns the boat?

Where are the ownership papers for this boat?

Skippers log, if one is required to keep a log while operating a boat of this type?

Who purchased the boat?

From whom, when?

Where are the purchase papers?

Is the craft insured? Is the insurance up to date?

Who signed off on that?

Where is the boat berthed when not in use?

Who maintains the boat?

What is the maintenance record, if required to keep such a record?

This is no longer a religion issue.

This has become a legal question and a governance question.

Has Kailua Bay has become an area where the laws of the US Constitution and the State of Hawaii are no longer enforced?

Or, while its residents lay trustfully asleep, did it become a barony

I would like to add to this by stating that there will indeed be many more views here on the forum. Amid the lies, there will stand the TRUTH. Keep posting what we know and keep pushing for justice for the Shim family.

Simply put, a crime has been committed. There has been an apparent cover-up on all fronts which includes the local media as well as elected officials and governmental departments. A Grand Jury investigation is in order and it is only the beginning.
