Isn't the "Important Note" that prefaces all of L Ron Hubbard's Scientology publications reason enough not to continue reading?
The "Important Note" entreats readers to study carefully and if something doesn't make sense, to go back and find the word misunderstood, and only then progress further...
My immediate thought: what if the words are wrong? I scribbled it in the margin and instead of replacing the book, slid it under the library shelf.
Isn't the flawed logic of this IMPORTANT NOTE enough to turn people away?

These guys tried to give me a "stress test" once. I said no, and kept on walking. wouldn't read their book even if they gave it away ... got too much to do as it is.
