Hello, Very nearly moved in with members of this group and gave up ties with my family around 1993.

Recently started talking about it with my eldest who is about to turn 21. I had managed to put it out of my mind for many years. Just looking to find others who may have been homed in on like I was, and who also managed to break away.

They were called Word of Life International, and it was in Aberdeen. Run by Jim Addison and I think his wife was called Irene.

They would meet for their services in a room in the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen. I was pretty much scared the whole time, but also too scared to tell them I wanted to leave.

They told me I was to come live with them and that they were my family now.

Thanks to my dad, who has been a satsangi for nearly 40 years, I was able to begin to rationalise better. He helped me get away. They harassed me at my workplace, in Boots in the Bon Accord Centre. I had to get security to remove them. Luckily and thankfully. From that point on when I would pass them in the street I was invisible to them.

Anyone else have a similar experience?
