Bull shit like they didn’t know about the child abuse years ago and did nothing about it …
Hello everyone,
We, the directors of Osho Leela, watched the recent Children of the Cult documentary involving Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh/Osho. We feel deeply disturbed, shocked, and devastated by the child abuse that has taken place. Our hearts are with the victims and anyone who has been impacted.
Osho Leela condemns any form of child abuse, and at present, we are still digesting the shock of seeing the documentary. We have been in reflection, and are supporting our community here at Leela.
We wanted to write to you, our wider community to acknowledge that we are aware of the documentary and our connection to the Osho lineage, which has been integral to the existence of our community over the last 27 years. The documentary has been a catalyst for introspection and has accelerated existing discussions about our identity as we continue to move into a new era here at Leela.
As a community and a business, we are committed to enhancing safety and care at Leela. This has been our focus over the past two years during both significant organisational change, and a shift in the standard of events that take place here. Within our new leadership group, we are committed to this process and the continued evolution of Osho Leela.
In line with our commitment to shared values and openness, we'll be running a survey to hear from the wider community and will keep you updated on our next steps in the coming months. We want to ensure our path forward reflects our community's voice.
We’re reaching out from our new email, care@osholeela.uk, managed by a small, dedicated team. While we may not be able to respond to every message individually, please know that each message is received with care and will help guide our continued growth.
We are grateful for your continued support and understanding as we strive to evolve and continue to grow as a community of the heart.
