His organization is supposedly non-profit, but as most people here realize this is just an easier way to funnel cash out if someone at the helm is a ruthless fiend.

Just a light reading of his simplistic writing style makes me wonder if he is just another Byron Katie wannabe? Perhaps he needs to get booked on Oprah to get a wider audience to bilk.

Woh, this guy is not some harmless old coot, he is highly organized.

Non-profit, as we know, just means Guy Finley does NOT PAY TAX for his corporation.

But right off the top, he wants to hook you for a LIFE of "learning"...there is no end to it.
That is the #1 message...for LIFE. He wants you for life.

He has hundreds of hours of multimedia right away, endless products, with the bogus FREE stuff. Again, a fisherman also gives a fish one "free" worm, as bait to bite into the hook.

He appears to be doing new agey wilderness style LGAT's.

He is selling FEARLESSNESS, [www.guyfinley.com] which is a very dangerous mirage. Healthy fear is a must, especially when it comes to self-help Gurus and other con-artists.

He is charging peanuts for this one, as its just an intro course to hook people into the program.
But you can see all the affiliate pages, upselling, cross-selling, clubs, you name it.
The big push seems to be with "donations", which is what Byron Katie used to do, before she raised her prices. Smart Guru's keep the price low, and then just rake in the donations, except those can be a little less predictable.

He also has various hidden workshops, where you have to contact him personally. Again, very smart.

What is the price?
How much money you got?

Guy Finley is a highly professional SALESMAN. Just look at his webpages, laced with sales methods.
He is using many of the same tactics as everyone else.

Guy Finley wants you...to constantly buy his products...for life.

So there is the information about Guy Finley's so-called non-profit corporation, Life of Learning Foundation in Merlin, Oregon.

He refuses to publish his IRS 990 Forms, so no one knows where the money has gone.
Where does it go? Same place others put it, buying land, buildings, cars, houses..marketing more books, paying for websites, travel, flights, hotels...you name it.

Who is Christine A Roberts?
The Life of Learning Foundation is in her name, not Guy Finley's.
Isn't it more than a little crooked, that the Life of Learning Foundation is in her name, yet Guy Finley does NOT MENTION HER on his website? That is extremely dishonest and suspicious.
Who is she?

Guy says no one received a salary, then where is the PROOF? Where is the IRS 990 ndocument, showing where the money goes? You don't need to get a "salary" when all your EXPENSES are paid for, or you give yourself a "Grant".
Its all word tricks.


What is really scary, is that not ONE person on the internet has published the name Guy Finley, with the IRS EIN number for the Life of Learning Foundation, which is 931113013.
That means that no one has ever looked into it.

So that's how you make the easy money, you use words like Foundation, and then all the free money goes to your mysterious silent partner named Christine A Roberts.

Is she married to Jeff Roberts, Events Director Life of Learning Foundation?
Why does Guy Finley hide her name from his website?
Why does Guy Finley conceal his financial documents?

No one should ever donate $1 to someone like that, who is hiding where all the money has gone. Its the oldest scam in the book.

Who is the mysterious Christine A Roberts, who's name is listed as owning the Life of Learning Foundation? (that Guy Finley says is his)

The only thing that turns up is some political contributions she made in GRANTS-PASS, Oregon, right near Merlin Oregon.
So why is the Life of Learning Foundation in the name of a "housewife"?

Is this Christine Roberts, the same "Chris" that is listed so many times as working in the sales office?

Why put the corporation/church in the name of a 3rd party as a silent partner? Protect and conceal the assets? They must be very close longterm business partners.

Wow, The Anticult, you certainly live up to your name. I originially posted this from some guy/gal trying to post about this that RR said should be it's own heading. Knowing that many folks that promote this stuff never check back here I thought I would do the dirty deed.

Hi Sparky, TAC and friends. Thanks for opening this up for discussion, as I was into LOL Foundation (good name, when abbreviated, eh?) Ken Roberts, (I think THERE is the connection---you'll be amazed when you've done the homework) and their various 'companies', selling both wealth building and spirit building.

In that Guy only charged a few dollars to hear his talks, and way less than everyone else for his tapes ($7 each), I figured that he was humble and on the up-and-up. Only now, can I look back at the many dollars (years of spending and donating) I sent to Guy Finley, and the equally regretful amount I spent trying to get wealthy via Ken Roberts' programs, and see the writing on the wall. I have fallen off their separate mailing lists, as of a while ago, but had often wondered what the deal was with them.

It was actually an early 'wealth building' tape of Ken's TWMPMM Course (The World's Most Powerful Money Manual), about making riches in the commodities markets, that I was introduced to his friend Guy Finley, many years ago. As I look back, I feel so foolish. I guess like most people, I felt the need for more money (geez; really?) and more of a 'spiritual' life. (we are taught by so many people that we aren't as good as we should be) Damn! They got me, didn't they?

Bottom line? I came to this site over a year ago, after getting involved with Byron Katie, but wanting to know more about her organization. It was because of the stuff I read in these threads that I ended up dropping the whole damn mess. But, it was only very recently that I started to question Guy Finley. I guess he is extremely slick, eh?

Right on his website, he is getting the "Charitable Trusts and Memorial Gifts", those are the big dollars, entire estates.
Even $500 a month in free donation money is pretty sweet.

As said above, it appears no one on planet earth ever posted online that Guy Finley is not listed as the owner of the Life of Learning Foundation, EIN number 931113013.
No one ever looked into it?
They are running their own private "church", and as such pay no tax, and keep all their financial records secret.

This is why no one should ever donate $1 to a "foundation" that keeps all of their financial information secret, like Guy Finley does.

Guy Finley is a very slick salesperson, who knows exactly how to game the system.
If you want to get rich quick, start your own private religion, then you don't have any taxes.
Also claim like Guy Finley, that you don't get a salary, as that sounds good in marketing.

There are many guys/gals who own their own private religion like this, who literally claim a religious vow of poverty on their personal taxes, so they pay no tax at all.
Meanwhile, their little "religion" is worth millions, and pays all their expenses, and it pays no tax as well.
The "church" Foundation covers the housing, real estate, food, travel, car leases, vacation, "petty" cash, you name it. Only God knows what happens to all the "cash" donations, take a wild guess.
