Friends, if you see tempting offers of coding classes, do some
background research.

Call the Better Business Bureau or your local community college.

If this is billed as coding classes for women, be especially cautious

* Look up the name of the organization

* Google the email

* If your computer security is on and you get a security alert, take note

* What are the instructors names? If there are no names, wonder.

*If you see buddha images, buddha quotes or other religious symbols, get very
alert.

* What is their address? Do a Google Street view

* Is the class at night? You need to know if the area is safe, and the parkling
and transportation areas are safe.

* What time does the first class meet? Call up and ask whats the start time and what time is the class scheduled to finish?

* If you decide to go to that first class, it should start on time, especially
if it is an evening class on a week night. If they keep you waiting and do not
start on time, get suspicious. They are disorganized and not respectful of your
time.

* If they try to keep you from leaving, tell them you are expected home
