Following some very supportive coverage of Spac by Reggie Yates, people were not surprised to hear that his cousin is a pastor in the 'church'. It was so bad that I am not inserting a link here.

Tory-supporting church 'asks young members to hand over thousands'
Alarmed parents say Spac Nation, which the Conservative party has embraced, operates ‘like a cult’
The mother of one member told the Guardian that her 20-year-old daughter had given £13,000 to the church in three months, with the money raised from her student loan, personal loans and loans on businesses she had set up with the help of pastors.

“She must have made about 30 loan applications,” said the mother, who asked not to be named because she was concerned about her daughter’s safety. “For some of them, she was using my details as a guarantor. She was even using me as a guarantor for other people’s loans. That was the one time I was glad my credit was bad.”

The controversial church has adopted the local Conservatives, supporting the party in the marginal Croydon Central seat. Last week, one of its pastors, Jayde Edwards, unsuccessfully stood for the party in a council byelection.

SPAC Nation: Church Reported To Police As Shadow Minister Alleges ‘Echoes Of Rotherham Abuse Scandal’
Metropolitan Police is investigating controversial church facing "several very alarming allegations of sexual abuse" in wake of major HuffPost UK investigation.

A shadow minister for child protection has said deepening allegations engulfing the controversial church SPAC Nation “have echoes of the Rotherham abuse scandal” – as reports have been made to police of alleged sexual and financial abuse.

The Metropolitan Police is now reviewing allegations of potential fraud and other offences relating to the London based pentecostal church SPAC Nation and will decide whether a criminal investigation should be launched, the force has confirmed.

It follows HuffPost UK exposing allegations of safeguarding concerns and alleged financial exploitation in a major investigation published on Friday.

Labour’s shadow minister for child protection, Steve Reed, went with young people who are ex-members of SPAC Nation to police on Monday to present evidence and ask the Met to open a formal investigation.

Reed says child safeguarding representatives from Croydon Council were also with the group that went to Croydon police station.
