Is The Satanic Temple Using Minor Children to Agendize and Recruit?

The Satanic Temple makes a claim that more than 200,000 children annually are victims of corporal punishment and isolation. They claim these atrocities are perpetrated by teachers and administrators in the education system. So they launched a campaign called Protect Children Project.

So what does The Satanic Temple do to address this?

They created a website protectchildrenproject.com directly addressing student populations, with no minimum age restriction or parental notification, encouraging children to contact them if they are a victim. The Satanic Temple will send the school board a letter on the child's behalf.

A video of allegedly abused children is posted on the dedicated website as well as The Satanic Temple website.

Concerns surrounding this campaign include:

*no stated minimum age limit for children to contact them. In fact, their online registration directly asks the child if they are in Elementary, Middle, or High School

*bypassing the parents completely; no informed consent

*a consent statement on the registration form for the student to check indicating they give permission to The Satanic Temple to send their school a letter

*without parental consent/knowledge, they dispatch a sample letter to schools]letter to the respective school board on behalf of the student. The letter identifies the student by name and affirms said student shares The Satanic Temple's religious beliefs.

Maybe it makes sense to bypass the parents, if the child was abused while under their care.

As for the letter... So they are acting as middleman for the kid to send a letter to the school. And possibly shock the school board.

Of course, there is the matter of joining their mailing list.
