Watchtower connection to Islamic terrorism

"Both of these defendants were brought up in families of immigrants to the UK from southern Nigeria. Neither of the families were from a Muslim background but appeared to be nominally at least 'Christian'. Both young men were converted to Islam in their teenage years. During the trial it came out that one of the two defendants had been brought up in a 'Christian' home which included 'Bible studies' with a Jehovah's witness. In the post trial verdict analysis in the press the following was revealed about this: "His parents would take him to church every Sunday and he was taught by his mother how to pray. He learned at the knee of a Jehovah's Witness called Ron - a man who he said had a massive influence on his religious outlook" (excerpt from this report: [www.bbc.co.uk]).

If you read what this defendant said in court about what drove him to the act of murder (mainly ideas from the Koran and radical Islamic teachers) it's interesting to consider what role (i.e. "massive influence") the teachings of the Watchtower had in the steps by which he progressed to committing a violent murder."
