Question Anticult--- Once this google thing gets fixed --- and I presume Cult Ed considers this a priority --- is it better to use specific words in every post to make sure it comes up in common searches --- terms that people use to search for info? For example, every time someone posts a critique about Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupanda or the Science of Identity should we make sure to use these "terms"?

So it looks like most of those deleted posts were recovered? Is that what happened?

As far as the Google indexing, as of this moment, its still blocked by this website.

Anyone can check, just go to any page on the forum, or the main page.
Right click, and then select "view page source". That gives the HTML code, anyone can look at it.
For a shortcut, then press "find" in the browser and enter "noindex" to see if it comes up. This is what blocks Google.

</script><meta name="robots" content="noindex">

Someone could ask the webmaster directly if they intend on blocking Google and the search engines permanently?

If the site goes back into Google, then optimizing words is not as important as making links to the specific thread in other places on the web.
Yes use all the key words as above.
But more importantly make LINKS to the thread.

For example, if the forum goes back into Google, if a person made 5 links a day to the thread in question, using key words, after a few months there would be a couple hundred links to the thread.
That will put it higher into the Google index.

Look at each sect, and they cross-link thousands of posts to their own advertising material, to try to fill up the first pages of Google with their self-promotional links, they even use the words - scam cult complaint- to get a higher ranking from people searching for those keywords.

So for any forum that is in Google the most important thing is to link to the thread, ALSO using the full keywords in question.

also, if the "noindex" is removed, a website can be submitted to Google for indexing at this link.

well, someone pulled a rabbit out of a database, and saved all of those posts!

and the "noindex" has been removed, the main page most recent post has already been picked up by the Googlebot. You can see it by pasting the text below into Google.

site:forum.culteducation.com Data lost now restored

It looks like the inner links have not been picked up yet, one assumes they will.

Probably the best way to get search rankings, is to post the full natural language keywords and many many LINKS to the relevant threads, on other web forums, blog comments, Twitter, anywhere.
If a person made 5 links a day, in a few months there would be hundreds of links to a thread, which would result in a higher search ranking.
Just use "natural language" when posting, with the full words, and the links.
Don't "spam" forums with cut/paste text, as the Googlebot filters against that.
It filters for "natural language" posting by actual people, as opposed to cut/paste spamming, which can be done by computers.

An example might be posting something like this.

Here's a thread about James Arthur Ray and the deaths at the Arizona retreat sweat lodge, and his appearances on the Oprah show. Is James Ray still operating his businesses?

Many hundreds of pages are now indexed, at least over 600 it looks like, and the pages are being updated in Google right away. So everything seems to be on-track.
