Board migration and downtime

Dear Message Board members/users:

We will be engaged in upgrading the software of this message board very soon. This will essentially resolve the spam problem, which has occurred.

The new software will change the appearance of the board slightly and have certain differences in features, but ultimately is more stable and secure.

This work to upgrade the message board will take time and so the board will be down for at least a couple of hours or, at worst, up to a day.

This downtime will initiate beginning on the afternoon of October 12 New York time.

No posts will be lost, but some private messages might be. If you have important private messages you should make a local copy of them before the migration begins.

Thank you for your continued support and participation at the Ross Institute Forum.

For Rick Ross,
the sysadmin

May the force be with you.

One of our computer teachers at the local city college told us that she was
very fed up with the tawdry forms of spam that landed in her e-mail.

As she put it, 'If I get one more spam ad for Viagra, I am going to scream, and it [i:2afa3bc7c2]wont [/i:2afa3bc7c2]be from ecstacy!'
