Has he discussed it in his services recently? It's been a year since I have attended any services there.
It was his comments in a service in Feb 2009, implied threats to sue people posting critical things on the Internet, that led me to this website and thread of posts. In a service a few months before that he threatened to "punch out" people that were engaged in "church gossip". It appears that the nature of his character includes the use of public threats to attempt to silence his critics.
Most religious leaders think that the best way to deal with what they perceive as unjust criticism, is to ignore it entirely in their public messages, that the strongest refutation is to not give the comments any audience whatsoever in their public messages.
In general, I think that is the correct principle, and true for leaders in general. Even Abraham Lincoln, who had legions of critics, said that ---
"If I care to listen to every criticism, let alone act on them, then this shop may as well be closed for all other businesses. I have learned to do my best, and if the end result is good then I do not care for any criticism, but if the end result is not good, then even the praise of ten angels would not make the difference."

How can a community leader allow 36 PAGES OF ALMOST ENTIRELY NEGATIVE MATERIALbe posted on the internet for all the world to see and only respond 1 time, to 1 person personally? and that even to say . . . I'm sorry you were hurt by hearing the truth from me.
I realize that they cannot stop the postings but one might think they would in some way attempt to defend their innocence. Of course, some would respond with . . . "God didn't tell me to respond". I bet He didn't tell you to brush your teeth either, you just knewto do that. Right? Anybody know these answers?
