curious if anyone on this site has heard of Erhard Vogel in San Diego, CA. He teaches eastern-type practices, specifically meditation & yoga. He has been teaching for about 30 years - formerly "Vogel institute"

I've heard of him. From what I've read, he seems to be a relatively benign self-help type guru, with a typical over-the-top "biography" that boasts his worldly travels and foreign acclaim. He claims to have a PhD in clinical psychology, though none of my research has actually turned up at which institution he earned his degree, so I'm weary of the title of "Doctor." He seems to be harmless, aside from people being victimized into parting with their money to have a "teacher" explain bits of common sense.
