It's noteworthy that the daughter of a
Rabbi who spent so much time and energy trying to
bring Jews back towards orthodoxy has so much
trouble with the orthodox world because of the "kol isha"
issue. Perhaps it's divine providence that she has to
sing to reform and conservative audiences. It seems
to me that she is experiencing why so many people
left the orthodox world - living with it isn't
tenable.
