I am glad that this matter has now been resolved and I hope your mother has peace and calm in her twilight years.

Although Dave continues to insist that everyojne here on RR is full of hate and fear, in actual fact you will find that this is not the case.

The people we have met here are mainly a compassionate lot.

Many of them have suffered agonies when their families were suddenly torn apart by Dave, who then busied himself twisting scriptures in order to drive a wedge of incited conflict between his recruits and the families they had formerly cherished.

There are families who read this forum who dare not speak out or post here because Dave would ensure that they would not see their loved one in the cult at least until they began to show some respect for Dave's views.

By his own admission he has lost his social conscience and therefore does not care what pain he causes.

This forum is not as organised as Dave likes to portray us. Many of us have never met. However we have an affinity in that we recognise and understad the pain this group causes to others because we have tasted that bitter fruit ourselves.

Therefore it goes without saying that many here would extend a hand in sympathy and in support of any individual or family affected by his actions.

That includes Dave's family. We wish you well and bear you no ill will.

For many of us here , we began posting information about Dave and his group here in order to forewarn people so that they would not fall prey to the traumas we have suffered.

That does not mean that we can control the acitons of everyone here or that we necessarily agree with what every individual here does.

Even when we understand their motives and their frustration that after all of these years Dave continues his litany of hate and fear.

Hey, I wanted to get in touch with the man, cannot PM him, and you're the only one here who knows how to get in touch with him (that's what you've said in the past, right?), so I gave you my number to pass on to him if he likes. Don't make more out of that than it is.

I don't want anybody accusing me of hiding my contact info so wanted to distribute it to Offended. It's against this forum's rules to post my phone number here though.

As far as the scans in question go, I already described my reasoning for posting them earlier. It's like connecting the dots.

This episode has, at heart, really ultimately just been between Offended and I anyhow, and we settled the matter between us, amicably and maturely. So there it is.

I think your apology to the Jesus Christians was honorable and courageous, though I think they owe you far more of an apology than you owe them.

I'd be wary of getting drawn into too much of a debate with them. What's done is done, but some of them are obsessed with point-scoring and getting the last word, often quoting previous posts selectively or out of context, to support their arguments.

Remember too what you've seen for yourself: a small group obsessed with selling David McKay's books and posting on their forum. Little or no working with the poor, the sick, the elderly or the homeless.

Finally, remember that no genuinely Christian group would ever tell you to consider what would happen if your husband didn't want to join, then suggest there was a possibility you'd have to leave him if you truly wanted to follow God.

Hi Talamasca, thanks for your support on the forum.

I have already decided that i have said enough. I dont feel i have to justify or apologise any further. I have said my peace, as far as i am concerned that is the end of it.

I will not be getting into debate over who was right or who was wrong. I will not be saying sorry any more. I do not expect any apologies from anyone else, i said what i needed to.

I doubt people will be seeing much of me on either forums. I just want to move forward and i felt that by me harbouring bad feeling or be the cause of bad feeling was holding me back in my walk with GOD. So now i feel that i have done the right thing i can move on.

Those of you who have been in private contact with me i will OF COURSE stay in contact with you. But i do not wish to be involved in the forum debate any further.
