I haven't studied the Khazar tribe, but from what I have read, a lot of Europeans have at little a little Jewishness in their backgrounds because of Jews leaving Israel at various times in history. The name of one of my great-great grandmothers was Maria Golding. I don't think that there are too many non-Jewish people who have 'Gold' in their surnames.
Also, one of my friends found out that she is part Jewish just a few years ago. Her grandmother told her that she was part German Jewish before she died. She just hadn't told her because it was a problem to her due to the prejudice against Jews during her life growing up in England. So, you know, we might all be a little Jewish and just not know it!
