Worth noting a couple of negative reviews creeping in to the reviews of "The Lighthouse" in the UK, where Universal Medicine holds many of its courses and retreats. The Lighthouse responds below one of the reviews that they do more than host the events. Worth noting the user photos for a large copy of the Mona Lisa on the wall of one of the rooms and the mention of 'healing symbols' on the pillows in one of the reviews.

Try as I might to gain some peace in my life away from the 'evilness' of UM it's insidious little 'creepiness' it keeps invading my life!

Two things Serge you need to know at this point......you are not a very good advertisement for a "healthy way of life". I have lost count of the calls I have recieved since ACA, people are saying in general that if they get to look like you and act like the two women you had speaking up for you then they have never been happier to be "pranic".

The other thing that drove me to getting back on line when I was enjoying myself so much away from even thinking about the crazies around you is this.
A very good friend of mine called me from Somerset, she and her husband have a beautiful B&B and holiday farm there. It appears they are getting calls before people book, asking if they have anything to do with Universal Medicine OR Serge Benhayon, because people want to stay AWAY from them. My friends had heard about UM via me but didn't really take much stock in it being in Australia, now they do. Lighthouse will eventually need to make a decision to be upfront and honest about their connection with Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine or they risk going out of business as a B&B, except for the months of June and November.

It's the hypocrisy, the doublespeak and most importantly the rhetoric that has upset non UMers the most Serge.

PS if anyone does want to go to beautiful Somerset, have a lovely time, eat delicious local cheeses, drink the most amazing apple cider, laugh chat and have coffee (imported) and cake by the banks of two lovely rivers that join at the giant oak tree, drive a little south of Frome.

Re Universal Medicine and it's Dietary requirements: Let me get this right , if I want to look like that creepy malnourished weasel who was on TV last week attempting to defend his cult, all I gotta do is eat from the "Fiery Food "Column. And i didnt know dairy products dampen the body and coffee ( evil food no 7) is only one step away from heroin (evil food no 6).I think I'm beginning to get the picture Leonardo , I mean Alice , I mean Pythagoras , no I mean Serge.!!!

Very Funny Eric indeed. But also very true.
Strangely....last time I was shooting up I thought about giving up coffee because it is bad for me. Serge is right again.

In hindsight, Serge's list of allegedly 'evil' foods explains something that has long bothered me. When I was first made aware of UM via a 'student', I was told that there is no such thing as moderation when it comes to actvities or foods that are considered 'pranic' or 'evil'. If it wasn't 'fiery' (or healing) it was harmful. No in-between. A little bit of coffee (or alcohol), for example, was apparently just as bad as a little bit of heroin. Moderate indulgence in caffeine or alcohol, I was assured, was just as bad as moderate indulgence in child pornography. Now, I can't necessarily attribute this particular instance of extreme, black-and-white absolutism to Serge himself (though, given his apparent pre-occupation with sexual perversion etc, it would not surprise me), but the fact of the matter is that this is how some devotees are interpreting his ideas. This twisted, pathological worldview is an example of the 'loveliness' that results from UM and its demented dogma.

Orientation For Newcomers

You do not have to answer any question if you dont want to.

Never give your private contact information or personal information on a published post.

If anyone sends you anything by PM (Private Message) that you find intimidating, intrusive or just wierd, copy that PM and send it to Mr Rick Ross, owner and moderator of this website.

Because the PM is private, Mr Ross has no way to know if someone is being bullied
in the shadows unless you tell him and send a copy of the PM.

Mr Ross can be reached here.

One topic that we are sensitive to is the strategy of blaming the victim.

If someone has not been told in full what their commitment will entail, they have no way whatsoever to make an adult and fully informed decision in becoming involved with UM.

So we can be a little testy if someone seems to hint that only weakminded people get involved with stuff like UM.

People who have not been given full disclosure are not weak minded. They are intelligent and lack full information. Even Einstein would have been at a disadvantage in such circumstances.

Quick note: If anyone gets PMs by someone saying he or she is a journalist and wants
an interview, ask some of the old timers who helped launch this thread.

Genuine journalists are traceable to a stand alone newpaper, TV station or magazine.

Dont give your privacy away to anyone impersonating a journalist. This story is getting very heaty, and attracting lots of attention.

Wow that is absolutely huge - the depth of the exposition is far beyond any of the other articles we've seen so far, and the author makes an impressive attempt to describe (as far as possible) UM's deranged beliefs as neutrally as possible, before introducing the complaints and criticisms that naturally have arisen. It also goes much further into the maze of metaphysical baggage that Serge imposes on his followers and which he has been attempting to hide in recent PR coverage - good luck hiding it this time folks! Another thing that has caught my attention (and which is a sure sign of something fishy) is the amount of denials that Serge has been making in response to all the media attention on him - this article has several new ones. The case of the 14 year old Miranda and Serge's early tennis coaching days are extremely fascinating too, and suggest a darker side to Serge at odds with his projected image of universal perfection. One would hope that this article will be widely read!

More great reporting from SMH...

Thanks for the heads up, Herb

That is a good article. It's not the half of it as far as Serge's weird claims go, but it's still very good.
