ODB has not posted anything to that forum since last July, tho. He's probably just trolling around somewhere else, predator that he is.

To whom it may concern:

Earlier today I received word from an Australalian source that David McKay is either quite ill and near death, or else has recently died already (my source was unsure about which is the case). Does anybody know anything about the veracity of this information, or is is merely some kind of rumor? Thanks, --B

Let's not get our hopes up just yet. It may be a false dawn. I'll keep the champers on ice for the time being.

Could be a fresh start for all, including his consort. Maybe Kevin will finally get his mother back, well, what's left of her.

It's probably not true (the "Dave is dead" rumor, I mean), or else we would have somehow had more definitive word from Australia by this time.

To begin with, I got this (tentative) info from somebody claiming to be a worker in some Australain hospital. Maybe somebody with the same name (David McKay, I mean) recently fell ill/died and it was some kind of mix-up in the confusion over who is who, on my source's part.

Nobody (for the most part) will miss DM, anyway, and nobody will send flowers to his grave. As for me, I hope that when DM finally really does does die, that he is cremated and the ashes are scattered someplace. That way, he will not even have a grave.

[forum.culteducation.com]

One time about a dozen years ago I was in a support group for former members of destructive groups (also known as "cults"). Two of the people who were in that group were former members of the Children of God/Family. One was a woman who'd joined when she was younger, and the other was born and raised in it. The one who had joined when she was younger had prostituted herself (or "Flirty Fished") all over the world for the cult, and had been catastrophically traumatized on account of what she'd experienced in the Children of God. I mean, she was one of the most profoundly traumatized people I've ever met. We're in this support group, and the woman who had joined the cult started confessing things about her past to us, and specifically to the woman who'd been born and raised in the cult. She starts telling us about the time she'd been (more or less) forced to "share" with a young boy of maybe ten or twelve years of age, in a Family "sharing party" in some foreign country. Mind you, she was telling us about things that had happened thirty-odd years before, in a country other than this one, that she'd done with a young boy whose name she could not recall. She starts telling us about the time she was coerced into engaging in pedophilic acts, when she was in this sick cult many years before. Then she started to cry like a child and wailed "I'm not a bad person, I'm not a bad person, I'm not a bad person..." as she held the second-generation woman's hand. Then she asked for forgiveness from the second-gen woman, even though she'd never hurt the second-gen woman at all. She was asking for the forgiveness of all of the second-generation members of that cult, through the one who was right in front of her. Then the second-gen woman told the woman who was confessing and crying "No, you are not a bad person; you're a wonderful person and I forgive you" and then she gave the older woman a hug. That was probably the most moving exchange between two people that I've ever witnessed taking place in front of me. This woman was not a bad person, and was not a pedophile. She was a good person who was put into a bad situation by bad people, and she was given little practical choice about what she was expected to do. I'll never forget that; it's burned into my soul, the memory of what I witnessed that day. This woman was so overcome with guilt over what she'd done, that she'd just cried and cried like a little girl.
