Amma "On Trial" In The Helsinki District Court

On August 9th, 2013 Sri Mata Amma Amritanandamayi Devi will be in Helsinki District Court to defend her devotee 'Rishi' Taavi Kassila. Cult leader Amma (real name Sudhamani Idamannel) has indoctrinated her followers to believe that she is responsible for everything that happens to them. Tragically this includes the misery which they suffer at Amma's Amritapuri ashram in Kerala, South India.
Amma's closest devotee Gayatri (Gail Tredwell) has testified that Amma used extreme violence including breaking a devotees ribs with a powerful kick. Gayatri's interview with US Rolling Stone magazine was never challenged by Amma's legal department (although her US PR department used unethical tricks in a failed attempt to discredit her).
In India Amma wants to criminally prosecute her critics. She tried to harass ex-policeman Sreeni Pattathanam who wrote a book connecting Amma to many suspicious murders. The book alleges that Amma's brother Subhagan alias Sunilkumar was beaten to death for opposing the cult activities of Amma. Amma's devotees claim that Subhagan committed suicide.
The frightening implication is that those who oppose Amma will suffer divine retribution. However the true cause is physical not mystical. Amma's devotees assaulted residents of Green Avenue, New Delhi with iron bars because they removed an illegal billboard from their property which had advertised an expired Amma event. Ironically the billboard promoted the slick concept that Amma is a "Hugging Saint" even when Amma's hugs lead to broken ribs and crushed skulls!
The most recent murder connected to Amma was 25-year-old Satnam Singh Mann who allegedly was beaten with a cable wire and his head smashed against a wall. Amma's devotees deceptively and falsely claimed that Satnam was a Muslim who tried to attack Amma. In fact Satnam was a Hindu resident of Amma Amritpuri ashram who was caught up in religious hysteria as he waited to receive a hug from Amma. Religious hysteria is common among Amma's sleep deprived slave workers known as Ammabots.
Amma herself regularly acts as if she is spirit possessed. Amma's act is to roll in the dust, eyes rolling into the back of her head, making strange noises and frothing at the mouth. This supposedly proves that she was in touch with the God. Later Amma claimed to be God herself.
Corrupt gurus in India frequently escape justice for their crimes. We in the West never hear about these crimes. Language slows down the flow of information. Sreeni Pattathanam's important book "Matha Amritanandamayi: Divya Kathakalum Yatharthyavum (Matha Amritanandamayi: Sacred Stories and Realities)" has never been translated from its mother tongue.

Taavi Kassila's legal case is flawed. This does not matter to Taavi Kassila. Kassila is committed to pursue legal action even if it fails because cult leader Amma Amritanandamayi has ordered it. Amma Amritanandamayi, whose claim to be God is simply believed by Indian government officials. Amma cannot imagine that she will be defeated in any court in the world. Unfortunately for Sudhamani Idamannel (her real name), the world does not believe that Amma is God - but this fact never enters Amma Amritanandamayi's mind.
Taavi Kassila wants to make two contradictory arguments: defamation and privacy violation.
For Taavi Kassila to argue that his privacy has been violated he will have to admit that what has been alleged about him is true. If he admits what has been alleged then he cannot argue libel since he has admitted that the statements are true.
Taavi Kassila is a public figure. He preaches celibacy to the media. Exposing 'Rishi' Taavi Kassila and Amma Amritanandamayi as religious frauds is a public service and not a privacy issue. Any citizen may expose "the natural defects of a public figure".
Taavi Kassila has voluntarily taken a herpes test (in India where Amma's hospital is accused of fraud) and by so doing has waived any claim to privacy. The herpes test result will be positive only if the herpes virus moves from a dormant to active state. A negative result does not prove the absence of herpes.
To avoid public ridicule and ruining his own libel prosecution case, Taavi Kassila does not want to publicly admit that:
* his former girlfriend developed herpes after he forced unprotected sex upon her
* he eventually admitted having herpes
* he eventually admitted having a teenage mistress
* he confessed to sex with prostitutes
* he wants sex with young woman but not mature women
* he is a religious hypocrite and celibate preacher
* his guru Amma ordered him to bring a frivolous legal case
* he tried to seduce a teenage girl with an Amma video in her family home
Taavi Kassila's will have legal difficulties because evidence exists to support the above claims. In general it can be shown that Taavi Kassila is sexual promiscuous, heartless and dishonest.
Any court will have difficulty believing Taavi Kassila because he has a reputation of being a compulsive liar. Kassila lied to his ex-girlfriend, the media, Amma Center Finland, Amma and the public. Amma.fi covered up Kassila's behavior by deleting over 35 webpages which described Kassila's activities as their representative.
Kassila has financial motivations to lie.
Kassila made claims to an audience, which he was trying to recruit to a controversial colostrum MLM business, that he earns $9,250 per week from the pyramid selling scheme. The scam went bust after the mysterious death of the owner.
Kassila makes money from his association with Amma through books, courses and India tours. Of course he wants us to believe that Amma is good but he hides the violent nature of Amma and her prison-like Amritapuri ashram. Amma's devotees believe that Amma is God and must be blindly obeyed. The devotees falsely promote Amma as humanitarian and saint. None of these are true because Amma and her devotees are associated with violence, murder and fraud. 'Rishi' Taavi Kassila is about to be revealed as fraudster too.
When Taavi Kassila realizes that his legal case will fail he may try to settle out of court by paying his former girlfriend for her court costs. The costs will be nothing compared to how much Amma makes every minute. Amma is India's biggest earner in her sector of foreign revenue for India.
To date Taavi Kassila has never apologized for his actions.

Amma is a great person and a great organization to help. But be aware people come to god to heal. I remember a newspaper article that said how it use to drop off convicts by the van full to receive hugs and unconditional love. Great for the convicts, but potentially dangerous for the crowd. Not to mention the holocaust survivors from Europe all so collect there and molest there kids still. If your half educated you'll know Europe still has a serious problem from the holocaust regarding child molestation aftermath. And the survivors find Amma's ashram and traveling ashram a wonderful place to hide. I would never leave a child unattended there. Your asking for trouble if you leave your kid with anyone there you don't know very well. A helping place, but dangerous.

Your pro-Amma agenda contains unstated bias against holocaust survivors. Any survivor would be too old to travel to India.

Will a server at your restaurant lean over and tell you, the customer, that the main investor for the restaurant franchise visits frequently and pressures servers for sex and those who protest are fired? And that employee morale is so low that neglecting hygiene, in hopes a food poisoning outbreak will shut down the place?
Gail Treadwell, Amma's long time assistant reported that Amma beat her up in private, not in public.
