Reading through David Horowitz's book [i:7478a6d13b]Radical Son[/i:7478a6d13b] I was reminded of several leftist terrorist hate groups that operated in the 1960s and 1970s. Some of these organizations, such as the Black Panther Party, were violently anti-white and murdered dozens of people. Anyway, what are your thoughts on these organizations, the movement they originated out of, the individuals who participated in them? What drove these people? Nihilism? Hatred of the white race? What made them want to kill white police officers with families? Anti-Racism drove the Weather Underground to attempt to blow up white children at a dance.
The [b:7478a6d13b]Symbionese Liberation Army[/b:7478a6d13b] is an American-based terrorist group that committed several murders and acts of violence in the early to mid 1970s. This group dates its formation from the escape of "Cinque" (Donald DeFreeze) from Soledad State Prison on 5 March 1973. DeFreeze had been active in the Black Cultural Association while at the California Medical Facility, a state prison facility in Vacaville, California, where he had made contacts with members of the radical political organization known as Venceremos. He sought refuge among these contacts, and ended up at a commune known as Peking House in the San Francisco Bay Area. For some time he shared living quarters with future SLA members Willie Wolfe and Russ Little, then moved in with Patricia Soltysik, also known as "Mizmoon." DeFreeze and Solytsik became lovers (DeFreeze was black, and Solytsik white, a fact that was significant in 1973) and began to outline the plans for forming the "Symbionese Nation."

The [b:7478a6d13b]Black Panther Party[/b:7478a6d13b] (originally called the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense) was a revolutionary African-American organization in the United States that was dedicated to socialist ideas. It is clear that the BPP followed the Leninist principle of democratic centralism. It is also clear that they followed Marxist Leninism. However they opposed Soviet Socialist Imperialism and State Capitalism

[b:7478a6d13b]The Weathermen[/b:7478a6d13b], also known as the Weather Underground Organization, was a US-based, self-described "revolutionary organization of communist men and women" formed by former members of the defunct Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). It was active from 1969 to 1976.
The name of the group derives from the Bob Dylan song "Subterranean Homesick Blues", which featured the lyrics, "You don't need a weather man to know which way the wind blows", quoted at the bottom of an influential essay in the SDS newspaper, New Left Notes.
