Supreme Master Ching Hai talking with 2 mouths.

There is a TV ad for a new antidepressant.
Its like Ching Hai marketing.

First, they show someone depressed and in pain, then say antidepressant P____ made them better.

Then they do 25 seconds of disclaimers, that this same pill P_____ can increase suicide, and list everyway it may kill you.

At the same time, they are showing images of the person happy and with their friends.

So its not only Ching Hai that has learned the value of saying 2 things at once, with the words not matching the visual images.
The advertisers must know the IMAGES and EMOTIONS matter much more than the spoken word.

One sees this with many sect and modern cults. They say the opposite things in their little written disclaimers to cover their ass, while their images and emotions say the opposite. They know many desperate people will ignore the facts, and follow the hope of the images and emotions.

"With Buddhism being as amorphous as it is, in the sense that it is not so regimented or 100% ritual-based (so much of it requires one to reflect on oneself, a trying and tiring task),"

Because the images, emotional appeal and fairy stories of hope are so powerful to needy people, it is only the trying and tiring task of disciplined, thoughtful, factual evaluation that can balance and overturn that power--if it ever is to be overturned.

Critical thinking has to be supressed around Ka-Ching Hai (great name, BTW) for that reason. Her endless, confusing, conflicting stories are there for that purpose, to tie up the critical faculties of the listener so that they don't have a chance to reflect and come to some conclusion of their own--other than that Ching Hai is what she says she is, i.e. some type of superior, god-like being with cosmic superpowers--that she can give you, too! (for a hefty price, of course)

After a short time of listening to and giving credence to her fantastic tales, the listener is lulled into accepting the spoon-feeding of Ching Hai's bullshit version of the world, because it is easier than the trying and tiring task of disciplined, thoughtful evaluation.

She overwhelms the critical faculties of the listener with her endless fantasies, probably made up on the spot--and the listener lets her do it---because the listener wants so badly to believe in some cosmic superiority that can be had here on earth. Its the easy answer to why some people live seemingly charmed lives and others have a lifetime of pain and sorrow to wade through.
It completely avoids the knotty human problems of the inherent unfairness of life for humans on earth, the unfairness that is built into our social, economic and power systems because we are fallible and can do nothing else but reflect our fallibility in everything we do.

So what Ching Hai is really selling is daydreams---close your eyes and drift off into an imaginary world where you are in complete control (except for Ching Hai's carefully planted bullshit) and can hear cosmic sounds and con yourself that you too are a superior being with superpowers to match. And everything is hunkydory.
Do this often enough and the lure of being a superior being with superpowers will outweigh the reality to which you inevitably return every time you open your eyes.

No wonder she comes up with the old ones, that the spiritual life is the real one and that you are not your body. If the listener takes that on board then the realities of life in the concrete world become less-than real and the listener will more readily and easily give up time, money and identity for a longer and more intense association with the bullshit daydreams of Ching Hai.

To Ching Hai's standard response to criticism of her daydream method of liberation: "You are not your body"----the only sane answer is: "Try living without it, see how far you get."

Here is a list of articles about Ching Hai. Nothing new, but the idea is to concentrate the informations about Ching Hai in one single place, including different languages. Then the wiki could evolve (with more people), or just remain like this, maybe with updates when new articles are published. [supremeleak.pbworks.com]

The idea is also to keep archived copies in case some articles may disappear, and also to enrich the copies by linking them to other related articles, quotes, videos, criticizes, or any future global analysis. Everything can be commented as well, and multiple users can contribute by adding themselves more stuffs inside.

This site maintains an archive of articles on Ching Hai (as well as on many other dubious groups):

so any new and worthwhile articles found could be submitted there also.

Its always good to have multiple sites where such information can be accessed.

Exact. By the way you'll notice RickRoss/Ching Hai webpage is the first mentioned reference in the list.

And it's not only good to have multiple sites, but also it's important for these sites to mention each other in order to increase their visibility (and the visibility of the original articles too) on Google and other search engines. Rick Ross's visibility is excellent already, because it's given as reference by many people in many articles comments and forums.

Rick Ross's list, Ramss'list and ThuVienHoaSen's list and also Google Search have been used to build up this collection of articles, each time trying to find the original source (Rick Ross's links and other's links given as mirrors). When not aviable, just mirrors are given. If people can find the missing originals, it's good to share, it will be updated.

Rick Ross could also copy-paste anything in this list to complete his own one.

I have no idea if archiving copies of articles can have some issues in term of copyright.

Any ideas and criticizes are welcome, and also contributions.

Did Ching Hai really ever make a conference at the UN? I hear my friend sometimes telling me that.

Does she refers to this kind of fake official conference? [www.wadcconference.com]

Apparently, she manage well by organizing a conference in a place near the White House, and making flyers with an "official atmosphere".

I wonder what followers think about this trick.

Somebody has checked the advert of her speech at United Nation. It was found out some halls at UN are free for outsiders to rent and give private speeches (not formal speech & not on UN official record) for private audience there for any trivial topics such as ‘ how to change nappies for babies’etc.
